DIVA-NYSMF JAZZ SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCED
Sherrie Maricle and The DIVA Jazz Orchestra are pleased to offer the DIVA–NYSMF Scholarship for young women pursuing a career in jazz performance.
The scholarship is open to all women instrumentalists who will be entering their senior year of high school or freshman year of college. The winner will be awarded free tuition, room and board to attend a 2 week session of The New York Summer Music Festival in Oneonta, NY.
NYSMF is a six week summer program that offers comprehensive musical instruction and performance opportunities for all musical disciplines. Visit http://www.nysmf.org and http://www.divajazz.com for more information.
An official application and guidelines will be published in the next issue of the JEJ and available on the IAJE website starting in February, 2007.
