The biggest news (drumroll please...) Brenda has just been named a finalist in the Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Piano Competition!! She is one of five woman pianists who was chosen out of the many many talented women who applied! Check the info below for details. What an honor!!!

Brenda has just received word that she has been invited to perform at this event with four other talented women pianists. The competition takes place on May 11th at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. This is a huge honor!

A legendary jazz venue in Delaware Water Gap, PA, this stage has hosted a who's who of jazz artists, including Keith Jarrett! Now it's Brenda's turn. Plan on a great evening of original music and Brenda's unique takes on standard repertoire.

New York Summer Music Festival!!
Second Season - applications are still being accepted.
The New York Summer Music Festival is an amazing summer music program for students aged 9-college age. Brenda is proud to be on a faculty that includes some of the finest classical and jazz musicians/educators in the world. Some of the distinguished faculty members are Dr. Sherrie Maricle, Chris Rosenberg, Dr. Gregg Gausline, Keisuke Hoashi (Hollywood actor), etc.
This festival is unique in that there are numerous opportunities for students to rehearse and perform in large and small ensembles, write and produce an original musical theater piece, study filmmaking and have an amazing summer.
The program runs from June24-Aug 4th and students can sign up for 2, 4 or 6 week sessions. Applications are being accepted now!
